In separate incidents in different parts of the country, two women were struck by stray gunfire while walking on the street.

In Detroit Michigan, a woman walked to the hospital, where she was found to be in serious condition, after being hit by a bullet along Crusade Street near Liberal. Police said she was struck by randomly fired shots.

In New Orleans, Louisiana, a 30-year old woman was struck in the right thigh by a stray bullet on Tchoupitoulas Street, between Felicity and Josephine. Police said she was able to drive herself to the hospital.

Investigations are ongoing.
