    Bronson Reed, a 45-year old father in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee was cleaning a 9-mm pistol in his home when it went off unexpectedly.  The bullet struck Reed in the leg and then hit his seven-year old son.  At the time the story was reported, the child remained hospitalized.

     An investigation is ongoing.
